I didn't finish it but read it on a whim. It got a little iffy later on as far as it's theory goes. When it got to the point where you can will the universe to do your bidding, I got a little turned off. I did like, however, the fact that it talked about the power of positive thinking. While I might not agree with the book 100%, I do agree that positive thinking is huge.
i liked the last chapters best - about health, personal growth and the universe
(the middle was very centered around material values and money, took me a while to work through those pages)
still, the message is so important!!

I feel like I cannot even rate this book. What was it? My mind wandered the whole time, it was basically just envision what you want and then you will get it. The whole book it was saying the SAME THING. Not happy with this book.
This book is indeed very powerful. It has impacted my thought process. I have learned the following lessons from it:
1. Always have a gratitude attitude.
2. The law of attraction is like attracts like. If you are a positive thinker you attract positive people, events, and opportunities, and likewise, if you are the opposite you will attract the opposite.
3. If you want to achieve something in life you must be a powerful Visualizer.
4. There is an abundance of health, wealth, and other resources in this world. So instead of being fearful be joyful and enjoy the present moment.

I'm not sure why this book has such a high rating. This book is absurd and unbelievable to me. Rhonda Byrne reveals "The Law of Attraction," a mystery that most successful people keep hidden from you. When I first started reading this book, I had the idea that it would have something for everyone's appreciation, but I didn't find anything. The author encourages us to maintain a good outlook and think positively. Many of the terrible things that happened to you are solely due to your thoughts. I believe the author has just ignored the human brain and cognitive science.
The book lacks realism. The book claims, for example, that millionaires are millionaires because they are still thinking about being one. Yes, having a good mindset and inner harmony will assist you in achieving your goals. It's also beneficial to have a dream and nurture it. But the most important thing is that you must be astute and diligent to succeed. The rule of attraction contributes only a small percentage of the effort. But she gave full credit to positive thoughts. Her reasoning for negative thoughts is also preposterous. Your negative thoughts may have an impact on you, but can you blame your thoughts if you lose someone you care about? The whole negativity and positivism are like a double-headed serpent. Both subsist and are in a healthy balance. The author took the concept of the law of attraction and tried to prove that only these things matter.
For those who are probing for some motivational books please avoid this one. This book won’t change you.

This book helped me to get through a tough time in my life. It was as motivational as it was reflective. Very good read!
I was curious to read this book to see why it's been so popular for so many years. I also read it because... who doesn't like the idea of being able to manifest everything you want in life?
This book had some inspirational moments and helpful tidbits. I've even tried implementing some of the suggestions into my own life. Jury is still out on if I truly believe in this stuff, but it's worth a try.
While some of the content in this book was good... I don't think it was meant to be a "book" (it was originally a film) because the formatting was extremely odd. It wasn't really in any chronological, step by step, or instructional format which I found to be unhelpful. Instead, it was interspersed CONSTANTLY with quotes from other people who teach / use The Secret. While what they said was important a lot of the time, it meant there was really no "flow" in this book at all. The actual author's words make up maybe 50% of this book at most? In between everything she says, there are numerous quotes. Because of this, I didn't really feel like it was helpful enough, or even really a reliable guide. Instead of focusing so much on how well The Secret "works," (which were all the quotes), clearer guidelines, advice, and actionable steps should have been shared by the author. Just my opinion.
I will definitely try to remember and focus on a lot of what I was shown in this book, but I just don't know how helpful it was, mainly due to the way it was written / styled.
