The Korean Skincare Bible is a beginners guide to Korean Skincare and the famous 7 step Korean Skincare Routine.

It goes into detail on how to use products and Korean Skincare product recommendations for each category.

The language is easy to read in The Korean Skincare Bible and each chapter describes how to use the product and myths surrounding it are busted.

I found it really informative and well written.

Would I recommend it?

I’d recommend The Korean Skincare Bible if you’re a beginner to Korean Skincare and want to know more, but if you’re more advanced in Skincare, I’d say this book might be a bit basic for you.

I am a big advocate for a good skincare regime, and have always been interested in the advocated 10 step skincare originating in South Korea. I learned that in South Korea, a beauty regimen is more than skin deep, it reflects a culture that promotes taking time out of your day to pamper yourself, and a recognition that beauty and health are interlinked. I read this in an evening, and had a lot of fun with it. I especially love that I have the Kindle version, so that I can refer to the book whenever I need skin advice and can make notes on key areas for me! I’m giving the book 4 stars because it was a fun, easy read that held my interest and left me wanting to learn more. It was also refreshing to step away from the SFF genre for an evening and left me inspired to explore another area of interest.

The book lost 1 star for me because there weren’t many images included. This is probably my fault for purchasing the e-reader version instead of a physical copy, but I still found myself wishing the book was more interactive.

This was given to me as a present and I've really enjoyed it. It's not a book I would choose to read myself since I get this sort of information from websites. However, it was a fun read and I definitely learnt some stuff - it tallies with a lot fo the products that are coming out at the moment with certain chemicals (squalane and Niaciniamicide sp?) as well as recommending types of products and not necessarily brands (it does do this but frankly easy enough to skip). I thought it was an easy entry in beauty regimens and I especially liked that it really rammed the message home to always wear an SPF on your face (I do- spf 25 everyday and more if I'm in sunnier climes - hope you do too). I also liked how it outlined each step of the routine, that was useful am now researching the double cleansing routine which I can definitely see being helpful after a long flight OR commuting into London.

Great, informative read.
