Head Over Heels nearly broke me, not gonna lie!
This small town romance started out in such a spectacular way, you'll be vastly disappointed in all future elevator rides after reading this book. The journey Ivy's father sends her on is such a beautiful joy to watch unfold, even if I despised him through it.
Ivy's path of self discovery was so powerful, you'll find yourself wanting to hold her hand and comfort her along the way. She's such a strong character but has been raised in a business world, with very little affection and love.
Cameron is facing struggles of his own, but his family is the supportive kind that everyone wishes for, and I loved how much they surrounded and supported Ivy. Found family is one of my favorite tropes, and it's SO strong in this story.
I still get a little teary-eyed just thinking about this book, and my dead cold heart almost broke by the end, but it was worth the tears and heartache. I love the Wilder family with my whole heart and can't wait to see more of Cam's siblings get their own stories!

I have liked Karla Sorensen's contemporary/sports romances since I got my hands on the first one years ago. They're always quick, easy to get into and devour. This one was no different.
Ivy Lynch has been raised to be prom and proper by her businessman father. Everything he has done has been to help her get straight As and be the model child. He's so focused on his career and treats Ivy's achievements like they're part of it. So when she runs out of an arranged wedding dress fitting, to marry a man he's chosen, he's not too happy. She ends up stuck in an elevator with handsome lumberjack looking Cameron Wilder. The two hit it off - possibly a little too well - and then are destined to never see each other again. But Ivy will pay for walking out on the engagement, her father will see to that. He sends her to Sisters, Oregon to see the house she inherited from her mother... And straight into the path of Cameron.
This was fantastic and it sounds like Cameron is the book boyfriend of most people's dreams. 🔥 I got a little emotional about his dad Tim. I also felt like the ending was pretty abrupt and was expecting an epilogue that wasn't there. It ended awkwardly for me, but I still really liked it.
