I'm flabbergasted. I'm astounded. And yes, I'm shooketh. Just when I think she can't make me love her writing more, Karla blows my damn mind with more emotion and more heartache than ever before with Head Over Heels. I smiled and laughed. I hurt and cried. The Wilder family's grief became my grief as this author stunningly wrote the gut-wrenching and bittersweet navigation of a family that's already lost so much nearing another soul-deep loss. Cameron. Can I just write his name and have it mean everything? My favorite Karla MMC and one of the ALL TIME GREATS I've ever read. And let's talk about Ivy. Ivy was dealing with her own sort of loss and confusion. Her quick and heartfelt connection to Cameron and his family opened her eyes, and it pushed her to use her own strength and grow into it in a way to honor herself as she fully deserved. Ivy and Cameron's instant attraction and the banter that ensues when they find themselves together again are amazing. The jokes between family members that clearly love each other hard are spectacular, and a big shout out is deserved for all the characters that make this story what it is.
Karla Sorensen is a remarkable storyteller and I have big, BIG feelings for this book full of fun, grief, family, love, and life. Too many stars to count for Head Over Heels.

Nobody does cozy family vibes like Karla Sorensen!
Cameron is one of the Wilder family sons and co-owner of the family’s construction business. Ivy is his complete opposite, a city girl who was raised with a “business first, love and affection never” mindset. Opposites do attract because Cameron and Ivy each have strengths that the other needs to lean on in their hard times. That attraction also makes for a chemistry these two can’t ignore!!
As usual, the Wilder clan is one that is unforgettable. Big family dynamics are my favorite to see, especially when the family members are the biggest supporters of your relationship! Reading about this family feels like one big hug that I never want to leave! Watching the family grow bigger with partners and kids is heartwarming and I can’t wait for the next book!

This is a fabulous story, ivy and Cameron gave me all the feels a fantastic story
A heart wrenching and highly emotional story is what is on tap from Ms. Sorensen in the second book in the Wilder Family series. Cameron and Ivy are complete opposites but what one needs is exactly what the other brings into the relationship. Not only does the reader get a beautifully written love story but also a poignant goodbye to the patriarch of the family. That one scene will make you not only need Kleenex but a glass of wine as well. Simply put this is a book that will tug on your heart and be one you will not soon forget.

cameron and ivy are that couple. top tier, made for each other perfection.
during her wedding dress fitting ivy decides she does not want to follow her fathers orders and marry who he chose for her and she runs away, jumping on an elevator with the hottest guy she’s ever seen. when the elevator gets stuck and the power goes out, ivy decides to act like she would never in the light. which leads to the hottest, steamiest kiss. but when the doors open she runs away like cinderella. but a twist of fate has them to running in to each other again after ivy is sent to sisters, a small town in oregon as punishment for disobeying her father.
ivy is prim and proper, closed off and very cold. cameron is a complete cinnamon roll, emotionally available and understanding. their chemistry is off the charts. total opposites attract with a little bit reverse grumpy sunshine. cameron and his entire family are so patient and kind to ivy. i love them all so much.
if you read one and only, the first book in this series, you know the wilder family is going through a tough time and this book broke my heart. i was sobbing. but the sadness is balanced really well with the absolutely beautiful, perfectly written love story between cameron and ivy.
it’s going to be close to impossible for a book to top this one this year, and it’s only january.

Wow, what a beautiful story. I cannot count the number of tears I cried but every single one was worth it. To feel so connected to a group of fictional characters is truly such a gift; there is not a single member of the Wilder family I don't love.
Cameron, who might just be my new favorite Karla Sorensen hero, and Ivy had a great meet cute and I was living for the chemistry and tension between them. And it was even more apparent when they got thrown together again in his hometown. Ivy's the type of heroine I just love to root for and though she and Cameron were so different from each other, they were a perfect match together. I appreciated so much the way they saw each other for who they were and accepted and loved them for it.
I adore this family, I'm obsessed with this romance, I loved this book.

Ivy Lynch is the ultimate city girl from a wealthy family. She gets stuck in an elevator with Cameron Wilder, a part owner of Wilder Construction. Ivy lets her inhibitions down while in the elevator and shows Cameron part of her true self thinking she’ll never see him again. Until her father “sends her away to learn a lesson and prove herself to the board.” She is expected to decide what to do with her mother’s childhood home and show the board she understands all her responsibilities. Guess who is doing the construction in the small town Ivy’s house is in? Cameron. Cameron is used to being the White Knight of his family and immediately jumps into help every one. But with Ivy he has to learn to let her process things in her own time.
This Wilder family, I love them. Cameron is just a cinnamon roll and gone from the first time he sees Ivy. He is the most patient man with someone so closed off and new to what unconditional love looks and feels like. Ivy is so cold, except she isn’t. She has just been raised with a very certain set of expectations. Spending time with the Wilder family and Cameron makes her question all of it. I was not ready for Karla to break my heart like that! My black heart had feelings 🖤
