It was interesting to read this as an aspiring writer, but the timing was bad. I typically struggle with quest stories; and that, coupled with busy weeks at work, made my progress with this book way too slow than my liking, which ultimately affected the experience.

My enjoyment of the book itself could be 4 stars or higher. I love the writing style, despite struggling to keep up with it at times, but I especially love the characters. Switching between POVs is tiring (which, again, is a "me" issue), but they're well fleshed out, and their banters are entertaining. I wished the book had been written in first person rather than third, though. Would have been interesting to literally be inside their heads.

I'm not big on piecing the puzzles together, but I know I would have more fun reading this book had I been more adept at that. Still, when the reveal came, I wasn't surprised, given how well thought each character is. But it's not that the book is predictable; it's more like a "oh. Yeah, makes perfect sense," kind of reaction.

I was looking forward to read that book to be honest. Sadly, If I had to use one word to describe my reading experience I would use putdownable (because I easily put it down after one chapter or two). The universe had so much potential but I felt like something was missing. I wasn't very touched by the characters neither even tho a bit more at the end. I did enjoy it for the dark humor and the possibilities. I mean, it's a library in Hell!!
Also, I don't know if I'll read the second book because I was satisfied with the ending like it was a standalone.

This was a lot of fun and reminded me of The Eyre Affair (Thursday Next series) with a bit more mythology and religion and a bit less humor. There were some plot holes which were a bit disappointing but maybe will be answered in the sequels. I'm looking forward to reading the next two in the trilogy to get some answers.

Gerçekten çok iyi başlayan bir kitap nasıl konuyu bu kadar dağıttı ve bu kadar kötü bitti anlayamadım. Maalesef düşük puan veriyorum.
