Novel about a society living on Mars. There is a caste like system split by colors. The red live underground and mine. Darrow is transformed into a gold, the highest level, to create a rebellion. He goes through training that is like hunger games. Hard to like the characters.

Amazing story I just wanted a little more romance spice and it was sometimes hard to follow the fighting sequences battles etc to visualize what was happening would love to see this on the big screen.

It was pretty hard to get into it. There is much infornation flung your way in the first half oc the book which very overwelming and a bit off putting. But then it becomes fast paced and action packed with crazy twists and turns. It is very engaging and a goid read, eventho the writinv isnt really my style

The Hunger Games meets its match

One of the better dystopian novels in that crowded field. Think, The Hunger Games, but on Mars. Will definitely continue with this series.

A well-written sci fi that threads that needle between well-worn themes of social stratification / caste system and a man's solo quest for change. The universe is vast and intricate, the chapters well-written, and the characters complex. A worthy read!
