I remember this being a difficult read at 16. And I can see why I thought that - I find battle sequences especially hard to understand, and this book had a lot of battles and allegiances and names etc.

It definitely was, and is, a good book. It’s exciting from beginning to end and Darrow’s evolution is fun to read. I’m excited to finally continue this series after almost 7 years.

Was rooting for Darrow until he kissed the daughter of the man who killed his wife. Sevro was my favourite character in this book i like how he took the lone wolf archetype very seriously and I am pretty sure Darrow would be dead without him. Also when I found out Titus was a red It was a shock to the system and I usually predict plot twists before they come.

Read this series. I gave the first book 4 stars but I definitely give all 3 together 5 out of 5. My review after reading Morning Star:

"Holy moly. This whole first part/trilogy of Red Rising kept getting better and better. I could not read fast enough and my heart was literally racing as I read through certain parts. I gasped I yelled out loud I cried. I think I cried at least twice in Morning Star. I finished about a month ago and I have thought about this series at least once a day.

I want to forget it so I can read it again but it's pretty unforgettable."

All the "side" characters get such amazing development throughout the 3 books. My emotions get pulled in every direction. I will recommend this series to everyone I know.
