I absolutely love Lang Leav's poetry, so I wanted to give this a try.
The story here is amazing and inspiring. I found myself in it the same way I do her poetry.
I just wish that the same level of writing was here. I am still thinking about the use of "clanged noisily" from the first chapter.

I really enjoyed this book, it had a different vibe to "sad girls" showing how versatile Lang Leav is as a writer. its also quite fitting for a poet to be writing about poetry.
my only issue with this is the characters felt quite young for their ages, a little immature at times but in the "adult" world. otherwise loved this

Poemsia is the kind of book that you'll start, it'll enchant you fully, but you'll still have to talk yourself into continuing to read because reading it leads to it ending, and you don't want it to end. At least it was that way for me.
I loved the story it had to offer, there was some magic to it - it focused on friendships and family, and with the romance included, it made for a heartfelt one. I loved the characters, they were well-developed and realistic, and the relationships set between them were dynamic and interesting. Verity was such an incredible protagonist, she was so easy to connect to. I also really enjoyed the writing, it felt airy, it flowed really well, and it was all paced to my liking.
Overall Poemsia is a great YA read. I recommend it.

I really enjoyed this for the most part. I loved Verity and Jess' relationship and Sash is SO adorable. The story is really interesting and relevant and I just enjoyed the development of the characters and the plot quite a bit. There is one random and completely unnecessary intimate scene, which annoys me so much and pushes this firmly into NA/adult territory. It sort of felt like Leav was checking off a box - characters have been dating, so we must have a sex scene - than a natural part of the narrative or flow of the book.
Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this.

definitely an excellent feel-good ya book. it's light-heartened and a good read if you want lovable fictional characters to inspire you. especially the warm fuzzy feeling the old cute wolf bookstore gave off with the bonsai garden. felt a bit too rushed to close off some subplots toward the end.

I always love Lang Leav's works and that includes her second fiction books. I don't know how to express it but I got so drown in each pages I couldn't help but to finish right away.

At first I thought the story was too cliché and made me a little bit nervous on what is Leav had in mind for the ending. I was kind of assuming that there would be a 'plot twist' or something. Turns out it wasn't that 'twisty'. It was OK to make you want to finish the book, just like what Mena said, 'read it all in one sitting'.

Anyway, just my two cents (and no offense intended), I think Penelope's character resembles mean girls in Korean drama (if you know what I mean...). Somehow I can hear her talk and scream while arguing with Jess like girls in Korean drama would do LOL... Annoying but a little bit cute even though I hate her manipulative side.

However, I think this is a book for those who likes simple and casual story to digest. Such a good book to accompany you on a weekend :)
