It was alright!! I liked it and there was nothing particularly bad about it, but also nothing particularly standout to me.

i loved this book so much! it was a super fun, silly, and cute book. all the characters were so enjoyable to read. i love the reversed roles vibe with the mmc being soft and sweet and the fmc being rough around the edges with a soft spot for him.

My least favorite of this series so far. I didn't mind the gentle and vulnerable male main character, but I just didn't click with the female main. It was a little lackluster for me.

This feels like a grown up version of Ella Enchanted, which was mentioned in the book as well, except this story’s not as captivating.
Honestly both leads need therapy and probably should keep their distance until they feel sure footed. Elenore’s been locked up for centuries and has put Ben on a pedestal. She can’t/won’t handle it when that vision is disrupted; example: when she left him stranded and Lilith had to intervene. I could relate with Ben’s anxiety, but honestly he needs therapy not a romantic interest cause he’s basing his worth on how Elenore views him. His self worth is tied to her not himself…unsure if this couple would make it past a serious argument. She’d resort to “no one can be trusted” and he would think he’s worthless for not being able to have seen the argument and fixed it before it happened…this is bound to cause issues. feel like the author realizes this since the epilogue is only a couple of months out instead of at least a year.
This is the 3rd installment of their series, so it’s cool that you see the previous characters. I do think too much page time is wasted on giving summaries of their books to the reader. Leave it vague, let the reader have curiosity of those characters so that you’re tempted to pick up their books. I could have read this book alone and not need to read the others as we are told (multiple times!) within the book how they came together.
