Kevin van Whye brings to life wonderful characters in a very realistic and heart-warming debut.

Lovable characters take center stage and show us why it's still so important to be kind and accepting and loving, especially to people you don't know because you never know what they might be going through.

The writing style brings the plot together with it's poetic lines in heavy scenes, and with humour and light-heartedness between friends and possible lovers. Easy to read and immerse yourself in the world and the circumstances.

It has definitely become a favourite of mine to be picked up when I want a quick, wholesome read.

I received an ARC from Penguin Random House India

Audiobook - 3 hours 57 minutes - As its own piece of work, this book is pretty good. I liked all the characters, there actually seemed to be chemistry between the two main characters, even if Bryson did seem a little too perfect. All in all, it was very enjoyable to read. However, I found out halfway through reading this that there were accusations of plagiarism. The said work was mentioned in the Author's Notes, but this was a very brief acknowledgement considering how much of the plot was based on this work. If I'm being honest, even something very simple would do, like having the characters who came up with the premise in the first place mention the manga Seven Days as their own source as inspiration - that was it would be embedded in the story and the acknowledgement would be unavoidable.
