I really liked this authors first book, so I was excited to see another. Although I like the original better, I enjoyed the story line and was able to build a relationship with the characters. The ending was a little bit of a bit with a big build up and what felt like quick wrap up, I am glad this was a book on my list and I would look forward to other books by this author.
I enjoyed this book via audio book which was a great way to experience the Ojibwe language without stumbling over reading the words. In my head it is much more conversational for me to enjoy. Miigwech

I really really enjoyed this book! I loved how the author added references for me to do further readings on the subject of repatriating ancestors from museums and how the system is failing them. It also brings attention to the devaluing of Indigenous women’s bodies both by white people and my Indigenous men as well. +talking about the MMIWG2+ genocide.
