Bring Me Back

B.A. Paris

3.27 AVERAGE

I loved 90% of this book, though I’m not sure how I feel about the ending. I listened to the audiobook, which has two readers, who cover the chapters told from the point of view of different characters. I recommend it. Very engaging!

Okay, parts of this book were cheesy and stretched the realms of possibility, but it's a thriller... wouldn't you expect some weird plot twists and improbable events? I wasn't particularly pleased with the reveal at the end of the book. I think there are better ways it could have been handled, but overall I enjoyed the book very much. Definitely a page-turner; I finished it in just a few days.

Thanks to St. Martin's Press for the ARC of this novel. I look forward to reading more by B. A. Paris.

I give this 2.5 stars. It's ok. The dialogue is cheesey, and the story is quite formulaic. I wasn't on the edge of my seat reading this until the last chapter. This might be a good book for people who like very simple suspense novels.

Basically the book summary is: Guy is jerk to girl, girl disappears after fight, guy is about to marry the vanished girl's sister ten years later, guy gets threats from possibly the vanished girl, slight twist ending.
tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Fast paced, twisty read. I thought I’d guessed the twist then was shocked I was wrong. I could never have guessed it. Quite cleverly written.

Fast paced and easy to read.
Fascinating how you think you might have it figured out, but then everything takes a different turn.
fast-paced

Wtf. Seriously.

It had some really good bit as for a thriller/suspense book. But it wasn't my cup of tea. Liked the mystery bit with Layla but wasn't in love with the story line over all

Ugh

Perfect ending and phenomenal overall book. B.a. Paris has done it again.
