What a page turner !!!! It had me guessing until the end. Even when I had suspicions it didn’t turn out the way I thought. All I can say is wow, these are the types of novels that are my favorite. I love mystery, a bit of murder or kidnap (I won’t spoil) and a bit of a psychological twist thrown in to sweeten the deal !!! I love love loved this book. Took me two days, that’s when you know it’s a page turner !!!!

This had the potential to be a really good book. The first part of it was good, but it took a wrong turn, got weird and went downhill. I almost quit reading it several times, but I held out hope that it would turn around. It didn’t.

Finn’s girlfriend Layla goes missing on their way home from a ski trip. Seven years later, Finn is preparing to marry Layla’s sister when Layla begins to send him cryptic messages and symbolic gifts? Can Finn bring her back? Does he want to?⁣

This was my women in science book club pick for June and has been my favorite! I listened to the first half as an audiobook on a road trip with my boyfriend. I changed my guess on what really happened so many times that he kindly suggested that I just keep listening.⁣

Sometimes a book starts off kind of slow, and you aren't so sure about it. Then it gets better as you go and you are glad you stuck with it. This book was the total opposite of that. I was intrigued by the premise and was sucked right in at the beginning. Then it started to lose me. The characters were annoying and I found myself not caring what happened to any of them. The plot became more implausible and ridiculous as it went on, finally ending in a plot twist that I had already figured out. Ugh.

this is my first ever Goodreads review, im choosing now to make it because this book sucks holy cow does this book suck. i read it in about a day and a half, so it's got the "quick read" going for it, but that's about it.

Bring me back.

After reading Behind closed doors couple of years ago, I came to completely love Paris's work. And when this book was out last year, I decided automatically that I have to read it. But a few chapters into the book, I knew it was doomed. Bring me back is a psychological thriller which failed to amuse me.

Finn and Layla are consumed by love like a raging fire. They've everything they want right at their fingertips and couldn't have asked for anything more. But things go awry when Layla has an affair and Finn loses his calm. Layla goes missing that very night and her whereabouts remain a mystery for twelve years. Finn moves on and starts dating Layla's sister Ellen. Just when he is ready to take the plunge of getting married, Layla reappears but she's not going to make things easy for Finn. She wants Finn back and will do anything to have him.

Half of the book was spent in how much Finn misses Layla's presence and the rest half goes in Layla's petty schemes. I do admit that the ending turned out to be pretty good but it'd be a waste if the readers don't hang on till the last chapter. It's slow and extremely sluggish and I had to push myself to finish this. Part of me always knew bits of the story and I guess this was why I lost interest in the book. The writing is fabulous and crisp. I just wish the plot and the characters were a bit more interesting.

Rating - 3/5.

I was sent this book by @stmartinspress and was wary at first because it's not a genre I typically read. It was a great book though and I really enjoyed it and the ending was just wow I didn't see it coming. would definitely recommend reading.

I received a free copy of this book in order to get my honest opinion. The book was fine, the characters were interesting, the backstory was intriguing, and there was suspense. But for such a short book it was almost like there was too much suspense and part of me was like okay just get on with it. overall, I'd recommend this as a vacation read to my friends, and wouldn't be against reading other books by BA Paris.

Ugh. Should have abandoned this one, but I was hoping the ending would have some shock value and be worth it. I was wrong
