I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. I thought I had figured out the ending but I was wrong! I would have given it 5 stars but I didn't find the twist believable but the suspense and writing was so good I forgave the author.

This book was beyond bad. I can't believe I finished it. The ending was a pathetic, cheesy rip-off.
Finn, totally unlikable character, was on a trip to France when his fiance Layla goes missing. 12 years later he's trying to forget about Layla because he's engaged to a new woman: Ellen, Layla's sister. I guess they met at Layla's memorial and ended up falling in love.
Except now some mysterious person is leaving Russian nesting dolls as a "message" (totally cheesy and not creepy) and then anonymous emails start arriving implying that Layla is really alive.
The writing was SO BAD. Seriously awful. Who are all these people giving this book high ratings? Finn was a jerk off. Layla sounded crazy. I got sick of reading about Russian dolls. The ending was dumb. I feel so cheated. I hate wasting time on bad books.

Lack of character development. I never really cared about Finn, or the women. I couldn't figure out why he thought Ruby couldn't move past him.

2/3 of the book is just repeating the same thing and when it starts to pick up pace it was hard to follow because it felt far fetched and the connections were made flimsily. i liked the twist i just wish it were written better.
