lighthearted
I’m writing this review three weeks after finishing the book, and I almost don’t remember anything of the book or how it made me feel, which I guess isn’t a good sign?
After flipping through it I remember that what I missed is the explanation to their friends and family that the wedding was not out of love (in the first place); I kinda wish we could have seen their reaction. The conflict was more there, but would have been better in my opinion if Tabitha would have flown back home after the accident and then they had to make it up to each other. I also think they could have talked to each other earlier on to make things clear about the sister, but I do get Rhys’ decision to not do that in order to give Tabitha someone to be mad with. And I think the way in which they fall in love happened a bit too quickly for me or didn’t really line up with the build up.
In conclusion I don’t really remember how the book made me feel overall and how much I liked it in the end. I do remember that in the beginning, I loved the enemies vibe between them. I love an enemies-to-lovers trope and I think the “hating each other” part was really well done. So at that point I thought it was going to be my favorite of the three books in the series, but in the end when it got to the lovers part, it fell a little flat for me.

Tabby and Rhys forever!!!
These two kept me soooo intrigued in Wild Love and Wild Eyes with their animosity and I was just dying to know what the deal was, especially at the end of Wild Eyes with Rhys announcing they were getting married. And in typical Elsie Silver fashion, she truly delivered!
This book had a bit of a darker undertone to it as Tabby and Rhys's relationship began as a result of their connections to Tabby's sister Erica and her struggles. I think Elsie handled that aspect of Tabby's life really well, it truly can be hard to watch someone become their own worst enemy and there's nothing you can do but just try to offer support when you can. Rhys's backstory was also a bit of a sad one but I think it highlighted why he is the way that he is. All of Elsie's couples have great chemistry but I think these two are truly a match made in heaven and their vibes were just out of control. They were made for each other!
Also, I LOVE that Rhys was a WWE wrestler? I've never ever encountered that in a romance and I thought it was just so much FUN. I lived with a WWE fan during my college years and I have such fond memories of watching matches, so reading those chapters brought me back.
Elsie never misses and this was a solid addition to her collection. I will definitely be revisiting this for some future rereads!
