The pictures in this book were lovely, though sometimes the scenes mentioned in the caption were absent (or, mostly absent) in the actual pictures themselves. The write-up and descriptions of the various subjects and their homes were interesting to read, though I felt that giving each adult-entrant's "spirit animal" or "spirit plant" was a little silly.
Five stars for sheer beauty and color-saturated photographs. Personally, I think my style is evolving into something more minimal, with bold color and pattern carefully placed, rather than maximally layered as often shown here. But you can't beat these examples for sheer eye candy with a very "real" (non-professionally-designed) feel. I need more plants and textiles!
3.5 Stars for me. I thought the author Justina had wonderful style and a great collection and design for her space, but ultimately felt like some of the other spaces featured was honestly a mess. Love a maximalist space, but this book did not do it for me.
Like Flea Market Chic this book was mostly not my speed style wise, however, I thought quite a few of the DIYs were things I could see myself trying to tackle. I also felt like there was a better variety of interiors to take in and so some of them did appeal. I'm not super into the shabbier end of thrift/flea/boho style. I like a cleaner, modern take and there was a bit of it in here but there was way more of the type that I'm not into. I gave extra stars for the DIYs and the diversity of the interiors while staying true to the 'bohemian' styling.

The interviews with designer-owners are remarkable in their lack of sensitivity/awareness, so there's a lot of mention of spirit animals etc by white American folks.
Worth flicking through for the photos, which offer good inspiration. The categorisation of homes into different groups doesn't really hold but that doesn't matter. The interviews are brief and not particularly useful or enjoyable.

Love, love, love. If you identify with this style you will want to read, look at, and have this book. It's a decoration to a coffee table all on its own. I'm totally inspired and feel validated by my taste in decor, although some will find it just too much.
Wonderfully colourful and creative.

Love this book! I took my time reading through it and really looked at the images. From a design standpoint there are a lot of inspiring images and ideas. Love Blakeney’s style.
