emotional inspiring sad

A tragic, heartbreaking but inspiring story. May Britney Spears’ family never know a moment of peace for the remainder of their sad, miserable lives.

I really enjoyed reading and learning what Britany Spears went through from young child star to just recently getting out of her conservatorship that her father controlled.

I felt I couldn’t give her book a rating just due to the fact it was her life and she wrote it how she wanted it to be read and heard. I did however think that it was well done for the most part. I felt you could hear her voice between the pages. But who am I to rate what I feel her story is out of 5 stars. I think she’s extremely brave for telling her story. And hope nothing but the best for her.

This was a book club book. I thought it would make me more emotional. Parts were sad but it almost felt like it was told by an outsider.

GOD BLESS BRITNEY SPEARS.
I have loved britney ever since I was little. she was (and remains) such an icon for my generation. to read what she has been through and what the #FREEBRITNEY movement was able to do for her - to get her life back - made me emotional. I even learned things reading this book that I had no idea about and it reignited my deep dislike of justin timberlake. I always felt like there was more going on with them than was public knowledge and I was rightttttt. ANYWAY. if you’re a lover of the princess of pop, give this a read!

22. Only a few months late I read The Discourse. This is a remarkable, and remarkably sad, story of abuse and the destruction of a human being. As much as I know that this isn't the point I found the writing style was just one note and somewhat relentless in the way it was written that detracted from the story she was telling. It could also feel uneven in the the way it was paced, with more time dedicated to her childhood and then skimming over the height of her game. However the strongest elements were her writing about the conservatorship itself, which was genuinely moving.
