I received this ARC for an honest review. This is a suspenseful and hot book that is not for the faint of heart. Kayne is a successful tequila business owner that uses Mark’s export company for shipping purposes. He has met Mark’s assistant Ellie several times and has developed strong feelings for her. Javier is visiting Kayne with a business proposal of his own and meets Ellie at a party that Mark is hosting. Kayne determines to keep Ellie safe from the world of Javier and his illegal doings. In keeping her safe though he ends up kidnapping her and introducing her to a new world and way of life. Jett, his best friend is there with him to help with the business and also Ellie. This book is violent, dark and twisted. I was captivated immediately and wanted to see where Ellie and Kayne’s relationship would go. I was caught up in the story and could not put the book down. There is a giant plot twist that leaves the reader craving the next book in the series. Absolutely one of my top reads of the year. I loved the dialogue and action between the characters. I found the book to be well written and clear. It is an amazing book.

Absolutely by one of my favorite dark erotic
novels to date. I won't give anything away but that ending was brutal. I don't remember how I stumbled upon this book but I devoured it in a day! Afternoon really! CUPCAKE!

What a ride this book takes you on.
Before anything I would read the triggers as this book is hard to read but also beautiful and sexy.
I can't say too much without giving the story away but I've downloaded book 2 straightaway.

It was okay. The ending felt rushed and I thought the plot twist was a cheap way to try and redeem the MMC. Alot of the scenes were really repetitive.

This was not anything like I was expecting, I wanted to stop reading because of the harsh reality of what was going on, but I have a rule to always finish a book. The plot twist of Kayne being in the Army and doing this a mission was not something I was expecting whatsoever, and Ellie's reaction was completely warranted. I hate that it didn't have a conclusive ending and now I have to read 2 more whole book to find out what happens, but that's all the fun of reading.

It just wasn’t for me.
This was extremely well written. That’s not in question. However, I felt like I was watching Groundhog Day. With the exception of five percent at the beginning and the last twenty percent of the story, it was the same thing over and over again. It also ended on a cliffhanger. I’m hoping at some point, I’m able to set aside how I felt about this book so I can continue reading.
