I really enjoyed this dark, twisty story of betrayal, lies and sex. The story line was great and I think most people are in for a surprised for sure. I would have loved a little bit more of the history between the two main characters in the very beginning because that always helps me to feel the connection between them. I wanted to hate Kayne but just couldn't, he showed his good side a few times which made me like him. I was on the fence will Ellie in the beginning, she didn't put up as much of a fight as I would have thought considering. This book is about 75% sex, hot, dark, dominate, depraved sex, If you don't like dark not completely consensual sex in your stories maybe this one isn't for you. I loved the ending and I need to start book 2 asap!!

The narration is incredible! Muffy & Sam are both amazing narrators. I buy books just based on the narrators when it's one of them.

2.5 stars. This is definitely an erotica book with very little story. The story is predictable too which is probably expected from this type of book. It took me a while to read it because it is quite intense and not for the faint of heart. I recommend checking for trigger warnings before starting.

Honestly, this book was really good at first, but as it progressed it was just a book filled with erotic scenes and hardly any storyline. It just got really boring. I was waiting for something good to happen and it never came.

Wow! This book wasn't what I thought it was going to be about (Although, the dedication should've been a dead ringer, lol). You think it's going to go in one direction the way it started then BAM, it went into this dark, sexual, emotional place. As I kept on reading my feelings would be ALL over the place.

Ellie has had a crush on one of her bosses biggest clients Kayne. At a party her boss is throwing, Ellie makes it clear that she wants Kayne & the feeling is mutual. Kayne has wanted Ellie since he first laid eyes on her. Something happens at the party that involves Ellie & one of Kayne's associates & Kayne takes matters in his own hands. Ellie thinks she's about to go home & have a night of unadulterated hot sex with Kayne but, things go terribly wrong for her. She wakes up the next morning not remembering what happened, in the same clothes, when she realizes that she's not only in a cage but, she's been kidnapped. That's where this book gets intense & goes into some dark places.

As you read this book & see what Kayne does to Ellie you hate him but, at the same time you like him. You know there's more to meet the eye with him even though you just don't know what it is yet. He a redeemable anti-hero. There were also times where I really loved Ellie & times where I didn't really understand how she should start to feel something for Kayne after what he's done to her. Then I started to think, I can totally understand how she starts to trust him & feel things for him. The ending took me by surprise. I had a feeling something was going to happen but, not that! It was a good twist that's for sure.

This was a really well written & extremely thoughtfully written book. All the characters were amazing & had a role to play in & how everything happened & played out.

I loved this book. I didn't know what to expect so I went into it with no preconceived judgement. Not only was this an extremely hot & sexy book but, it was thought provoking & had a message. In a way it also brought to light something that's an issue but not talked about enough. I absolutely loved it & can't wait to read the next book!

Where the hell do I start?

THIS BOOK, HOLY CRAP.. THIS BOOK.. It's intense, It's dark, it's twisted, it's hot, it's so wrong that it is right. I honestly don't even know where to begin...

Firstly, a big thumbs up to M. Never. She has just created a world so consuming and addicting that I just can not stop.. I finished book one in one hit and then went straight on to book two.

In book one we meet Kayne and Ellie and their f-ed up kinky and dark start to a love story.
Ellie has been obsessed and lusting after Kayne ever since he came waltzing into her work place. She spent over a year longing and fantasing about this man, wanting to keep her distance but then one day, she literally walks straight into him and that all goes out the window and this is where an epic, dark and twisted love story begins.

After a night out at a bar together, and both of their lust getting the better of them, they leave together and Ellie thought she had finally bedded the man she had been drooling over for over a year. But she was so so so very wrong, and what happens next... is something you will never expect. It's dark, it's twisted, it's wrong but damn it is right, and I couldn't help but fall deeply into this black hole of twists and turns...

Ellie and Kayne's relationship is like no other, well in the beginning its not. I would love nothing more than to sit here and list everything that happens throughout the book, but I honestly think going semi blind into this series is the best thing you can do. I laughed, I cried, I very nearly threw my device at the wall.. wanting to reach in and shake sense into Ellie, but as the story unfolds, more and more truths and suprises come to light.

This book is amazing, I'm utterly obsessed with all things M. Never now, and I highly recommend reading and/or listening to this. I don't think you will be diappointed. BUT ..please beaware that this plot focuses on the darker side to romance and kink and it will have your mind on overdrive.

If I could I would rate this 100 stars!

If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey this may be too much for you...while 50 shades of grey was 50 shades of terrible, M. Never takes you into the dark and wickedly erotic world of BDSM, and while I didn't appreciate the way in which Ellie came to belong to Kayne, I felt Never did a good job of explaining that this wasn't the norm and that most submissives were willing participants. I will admit when I first started to read this book I was a little pissed, and almost stopped reading I felt that it was perpetuating a negative stereotype of the BDSM world, but by the end I understood what was going on and wasn't as angry about it. For those who want to jump to conclusions before really getting anywhere in the book I'm sure there will be some negatives reviews, but keep reading, besides being filled with some amazingly HOT scenes there is a lot more going on than meets the eye.

The play between Kayne and Ellie is smoldering and Jett just adds dimension to the characters adding tidbits of information that help you understand there is more going on and gives you a little insight into Kayne to help realize he isn't the raging bastard you think he is in the beginning.

By the end you are panting along with Ellie and want nothing more than them to be together forever. The end of the book takes you on a ride that tears at your heart and leaves you wanting more...which is why I wound up downloading books 2 and 3 immediately.

Much more realistic than 50 shades of Vanilla, the chemistry between Ellie and Kayne is enough to keep you reading. The kink in this book is more on the level with The Story of O or Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty series.

Whoa

What a dark and crazy intense story. Poor Ellie. She has no idea on what’s going on. Kanye is so much more than he seems
