Wow...
I just wanted to get out of a reading slump with an erotica novel which will not need any thinking at all, but instead I got consumed by the world of M. Never and obsessed for these books.
I mean I just finished the first book and started the second one because I couldn't believe the plot twist! Now I'm 50% into the second one and I'm scared!
If you like dark (a little bit fucked up) romances, this is certainly your cup of tea!

HOT FREAKING DAMN!!
Yes, some of the parts of this book can be hard to read and intense at times. But damn he connection between Kayne and Ellie is intense, electric! Though their meeting and relationship is far from conventional their is no denying that from the beginning and throughout the book their connection continues to blossom and break all boundaries.

I was given an ARC for an honest review.
Overall 3.5 stars.
I'm not sure where to start. I honestly loved the story and the twist ending but I'm not so sure how I feel about the main characters. Ellie seemed very whiney. "He's mean!" She didn't seem to grasp her situation as well as she should have. Kayne didn't seem to have any redeeming qualities that I could see. That being said, I will read another book if the author chooses to write another. She's a very talented writer, these two characters just didn't do it for me.

5Stars for M. Never's Owned
I loved this book. I generally don't like cliffhangers but this one is very well worth it. I am hoping that the next book answers some of the questions that this book left open.

I wasn't quite sure what to read so I turned to my extremely large Kindle library to find a book that would hold my attention. I've never read a book by M. Never so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.
Owned deals with various dark and twisted themes. Readers should know that it deals with the following: Coercion, Kidnapping, Rape, & Abuse. If those themes are instant turn-offs, this book isn't for you. Personally, I love a good dark romance so this book was right up my alley.
I cannot give up too much of the plot but I will say that the characters were well written and the plot was intriguing. I was going to give it 4 1/2 caffeinated stars but I felt that at points the book lost track of the plot & sometimes things were divulged in too obvious of ways. I would have loved it if it flowed better and didn't feel forced at times.
The shining stars of the book were the main characters. Ellie & Kayne were so much fun to read about. I loved Ellie & her snark. The snarkiness was fun and made her more relatable. Kayne was interesting and kept my attention as well. I would have loved to learn more about him. I also LOVED Jett. He was such a fun character and I really can't wait to read more of this series.
All in all, the book was good and anyone that enjoys a good dark romance is sure to enjoy this one. It would also be a decent beginner book for people who want to dip their toes into dark romances. It wasn't too dark though it dealt with darker themes.

I admit I struggled a bit with this story. Especially at the beginning. I wasn’t sure I liked the dynamic between characters - I mean, she was forced to slavery. But I guess that’s the whole point of dark erotic romance - you just don’t know if that’s turns you on or if you wanna throw away your reading device and hide under blanket.
The plot though… It was really engrossing and full of surprises! I just had to keep reading it to know what will happen next. Sex scenes were scorching hot! Plus, an ending surprised the hell out of me! I’m diving into „Claimed” now!
