Definitely not as good as sharp objects, but still a good book, would’ve benefited from a stronger ending.

I don't think this woman has ever written a likable character. The story was interesting but the ending was so convoluted, unbelievable, and coincidental that I just didn't buy it.

I had low expectations for Dark Places because I really disliked [b:Sharp Objects|18045891|Sharp Objects|Gillian Flynn|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1475695315s/18045891.jpg|3801], but I was surprised to actually like this book. Most of the characters are utterly horrible people but they know it and own it. Gillian Flynn did a great job with the details and tying them into the story from multiple viewpoints without losing consistency.

I definitely admire the unpredictability of Gillian Flynn’s writing. While not my favourite of her novels, I always enjoy how she tells a (very dark) story. I felt that Dark Places lost momentum somewhere in the middle, which is why I didn’t love it, but I still enjoyed the story.

Horrriblemente aburrido. La estructura de la novela, que saltaba en el tiempo entre los días previos al crimen y el presente, me impedía engancharme o interesarme lo más míninimo por ninguno de los personajes. La resolución del misterio ha estado a la altura del resto del texto, que era muy baja.

Definitely my least favourite Flynn novel by far. As all her books it had a intriguing premise, unfortunately this one lacked the intricacy. Underwhelming ending.

Still a fantastic read even after all these years! I miss Flynn's writing. I miss her character development. I need more books by her!
