Omg this took me so long to post but finally here I am!

I feel quite bittersweet writing this review since it's the last book of this series and even though months passed I still miss the characters (I'm manifesting for some bonus chapters or novella's!!)

I thought Amber's book couldn't be topped but of course I was wrong, every time I started reading a new book from this series my standards, if possible, increased even more.

It's always lovely to read romcoms with poc characters, Elliot is such a relatable and likable fmc I especially loved her personal development the way she kept growing stronger and stronger in the book is such a way that made me tear up a bit.

And Dane, ugh, seriously I don't even know what to say, he's is what I want to see more in books, finally we get a man with insecurities, true insecurities, that make him look realistic and relatable, romance mc are generally stoic, sweet but not very natural, Dane was already one of my favourite characters from the first book, and I really wished to see him more, and I'm so glad Anise decided to write his story too!!

Elliot and Dane fit perfectly in an imperfect way, they start with a rocky dynamic but they absolutely deserve each other and more, Dane was the type of mmc that will actually leave some kind of sign in me.

Also honourable mention to all the characters from book one and two! It was nice to see them have their happy ever after, and it was kind of adorable to read about them from Dane and Elliot point of view.

I'm also very glad One Last Shot is the last book of the series because I feel like this closes the circle perfectly, the best thing I liked about these books is for sure the female leads, I love reading about sting empowering poc women, it's my favourite flavour of romance.

Thank you so much @authoranisestarre for this copy and allowing me to review the Flights and Feelings series, I hope you'll keep writing in the future because the world deserves your words<3

„She might not ask for it, but I want to give it to her, anyway. I want to give her the world if she’ll let me. I love this woman with every fibre of my being, and the thought terrifies me. Because I’ve been here before and I know how this ends. And it can’t end like that this time. Not again. Not with Eliott.“

cute but nothing that totally blew me away still a rec if you want a short spicy book.

my favourite book so far this year!
eliott and dane's story was SO GOOD, sis was eating it all up. i was suffering from one of the worst reading slumps ever, and this book just took me straight up out of it.

i have always been a sucker for a good second chance romance, and i just loved everything about this. from their first (and very awkward) encounter right through to them meeting again, i was honestly sitting on the edge of my seat. the tension was GIVING and i just loved seeing them both grow closer - it was giving friends-to-lovers once they had gotten past their initial awkward reunion.

eliott is one of my new favourite fmc's. i felt like i could really relate to everything she was going through, and just how she carried herself as a person. she would give anything to make sure that her loved ones were okay, and struggled with prioritizing her personal needs - so when dane came into the picture, i loved how effortlessly he fit into her life, and made himself available to her when she needed anything. she gave me 'eldest daughter' energy, and as one myself, i 100% resonate! <333

dane - what a man! i just love his whole aura (but honestly, i had my reservations about him purely because of his name. it's giving me FW flashbacks LMAO) he just wanted to be enough for someone, especially after everything he went through in the past - and i absolutely loved eliott for reassuring him and letting him know that he will always be more than enough. bro, they're so beautiful!!!! i love them so much - both as individuals and as a couple!!

if it's not obvious already, i LOVE this book in it's entirety. i kinda skipped through and read this book 2nd instead of one last job (sorry! but i just had to read dane's book asap), but i promise OLJ is next up on my tbr!!! can't wait to get into more books by this author x

Ended with a Bang!

This was the perfect story to end this series. I truly loved Elliot & Dane’s story from beginning to end

cute read

I love a good read like this. The plot is predictable but it’s so well-written that I don’t even care. I see so much of myself in Eliott and am so glad she got her HEA. It’s my second read from this author but won’t be my last!

This was a good end to the series
