I loved this! I picked up book 1 in this series (One Week in Paradise) last year and knew I wanted to continue on in the series. This installment follows the brother of the FMC in book 1 and the wedding photographer for the couple in book 1's wedding. I love how interconnected this installment was.

This book hit me in the feels. Made me feel seen as an eldest daughter. Anise Starre really got me with some quotes on what it means to be relied on without people asking and, instead, assume you're available. So much was unpacked in this short 200-some page book. I loved it so much!

Can’t wait to read more from Anise. Such cute feel good romances. I don’t know which couple is my favorite, they all bring their own beautiful elements to love!

This was cute in the beginning but then I found myself skimming at the end because I just didn’t care about the romance at all.

Love love LOVED Dane and Elliot. The way that their one night stand turned friend turned lovers developed was so soft and I just could not get enough of it. Loved how Dane was there for Elliot without pushing her but instead let her know through his words and his actions that he was there when she was ready to talk about it all. Loved this series so much, great couple and great writing!

Out of the three books in this series this was absolutely my favorite and I knew it would be my favorite when I read the snippet in the second book but wow it really exceeded my expectations and it was a slow burn at that? I love love love Dane and how his act of service always held weight when it came to Elliott and that is so important, being a man you can rely on. Ugh I wish I could read it for the first time again :(

Thank you so much for giving me this ARC :)

I love it myself a good black romance book and she was it. I’m the youngest in my family but I see and recognise the role of the older sister that’s always here for everyone one while no one take the time to asked if they need anything.

I would have loved to see a scene where Elliot has a discussion with her siblings and mother - like she had with her grandmother - about her role as an older sister and she’s tired of it. I feel like after the talk with her grandmother it was a bit rushed and quickly forgotten.

Now Dane… I love this dude. He always knew what to say and was taking notes to make her smile, always putting her first and take care of her.

Overall this book was a fun read and I can’t wait to read other books of this author.
