I don’t even know if this is 3 star tbh it was like 2.5 because why the fuck was a crucial bit of info about the mmc (he had hearing aids) literally revealed over 50% of the way through and then it becomes a big part of the ending/plot ???

Also the toe ??? Like that’s a no from me I read a lot of spicy shit and I am drawing the line at using his toe

As a fellow deaf person, I loved the portrayal of a deaf character, especially how it wasn’t mentioned for so long (as I tend to forget I’m deaf frequently) and
the fear of losing all your hearing but the hope shown that it’s not the complete end of the world

This books was so good with plenty of

Ill probably be the first to admit, but i found the first 70% of the book utterly pointless. I constantly felt like i was missing things, i would go back to find where it was first mentioned. Big moments happened right off the bat, and then nothing was ever talked about again. It had zero plot, unless you count reading about their daily life.. but when i got to that 70% mark of the book, everything fell into place.

Do i still question when i got brought up? Yes. Did it ever answer my questions from the beginning of the book? No. BUT I don't care, it was the most though provoking emotion packed 30% of the book.. I loved the ending of the book so much that this book deserves 4/5 stars.

What i would do to be a fly on the wall, or be able to be there for the characters of the book. The love all three of them had was refreshing, obviously with Blaise and Ares but also all of them with August. It was the perfect found family, never once did i feel like anyone was an outcast in the book. Not to mention Nana.. she loves the boys as if they were her own.

Every other review is accurate as this being a light fluffy read. Not to mention very easy to read, probably due to how mild the writing is. Its not like some books where it feels like you're reading a college text book, but its not also juvenile like other books are. I would honestly put this as a good pallet cleanser book. It has all the emotions you need to get out of a book slump: you have sad, angry, happy, annoyed, and ecstatic.
