I was enamoured with the Mistborn world, and then this happened. 300 years on, Vin and Elend, Kelsier and even Spook have become saints of opposing religious followings, while the magic has morphed and technology has left us somewhere between steampunk and the Wild West.

And he’s done it here with the love-triangle too, but I’m not going to say anything about that apart from it doesn’t go the way you think you want it to go, but then it goes exactly and satisfyingly the way it should… in the end… but that’s getting ahead of myself, because that all doesn’t happen until the third novel. Which is to reveal that I sped through these three novels so fast I couldn’t even write my reviews in between…

3.5 I liked it but unfortunately wasn’t invested in the characters other than Wayne. Also, the plot wasn’t that captivating to me, which is why I don’t think I’m going to continue with the rest of the series.
