This shit fucking slapped. Go off, kings.

The audio of this book was freaking amazing! The narrator Jake Bordeaux gave these characters so much life with a full performance.
There is a beautiful story of finding love and yourself in the midst of uncovering a longtime grudge creating an enemies to lovers, hate to want you tale.
I love the dynamic of these characters and how they will continually surprise you.

Can Rebecca do wrong? Nope.
Another hit out the park for this author, I will always eat up rivals to lovers.
The only thing missing? THE DADS STORY, I NEED IT?
(just a tiny novella will do)

Definitely a 4.5 read my god the things they would say had me needing to go outside and touching some grass.

This was reallly a slow burn considering the book starts when they were 5 and then jump to teenage and 20s to the present. Didnt like the mc in the beginning becos he was so annoying. Although it could be becos he was young and afraid that made the other mc’s life miserable. This was character focus more than the plot because some of the things that i would find interesting to read where kinda written off book and told from the mc’s recollection rather than the readers experiencing it first hand ( idk how to describe it). For eg, how their relationship was exposed to the public and how their teammates got their back or one of the teammate was suspended for doing something which was told offhanded. Which becomes an unnecessary thing to include in the story and seems like it was written just to meet the required no of words or something. This includes the issues the mc had with his father and how they handled it. Besides the one restaurant scene with the mc’s father and him, theres not that much. Including what happened between mcs’ father were not clarified. So theres no closure whatsoever. Other than that, i do like the relationship progression between the mcs and how they forgive each other and came into relationship. Ash was so obsessed with marcus from he was young and ultimately got what he wanted and never giving up on marcus which was sweet. The spice was spicing too. That began like around 45%-50% into the book.
