This is a sweet, fluffy story. Both MCs were fun. I loved the shifter mythology presented.

This book was probably a 2.5 being generous. The characters had a lot of potential for conflict that went straight to the background the moment a potential romance was introduced. And the main mystery plot line started to feel shoe-horned in and contrived. I knew who the bad guy was within a few pages and within the first time I met him because it was just TOO convenient. Honestly, stuck around for the sassy side characters and asexual rep because I wanted to see how that was handled (not well).

This is one of those books that's so engrossing and rare, it will stay with you for a long time. The book begins like many romances: the main characters meet, awkwardly, but there is instant attraction. Cassian Rhodes is an athlete struggling to balance sports and academics. Thor Ambrose is a reclusive student in search of a roommate to share expenses in his off-campus apartment. As the two grow closer, Cassian discovers that Thor has a pretty big secret that threatens to tear them apart. Strange does an excellent job developing Cass's and Thor's relationship while immersing the reader in a well-developed mystery that will leave readers guessing until the end. You're not gonna want to put this one down! (Note: I was offered an ARC in exchange for an honest review.)

I really enjoyed getting to know Thor and Cas! They're definitely one of my favorite types of couples - jock/nerd, size difference, outgoing/shy, etc. but with an added twist because Thor is also from a family of shifters. My favorite part of the story was watching their relationship develop from strangers to roommates to friends to much more. They both are very sweet and caring towards one another and, despite their differences, they find a good balance together. My favorite parts are their domestic scenes (especially Christmas!) and also all scenes involving hedgehog!Thor (so cute!!). I also enjoyed their friends, Lucy and Leda. And if you like your sex scenes extra spicy, well, you're about to be very spoiled! ;)
As for the rest of the book, I felt like the mystery was pretty unbelievable, at least the part where no one seemed to clue into the very obvious suspect. I was surprised that person wasn't caught earlier because they were very sloppy. Also, there are several really important and dramatic things that go down in story and I felt like they weren't processed/explored as much as I would have liked; instead of really delving into what happened and dealing with it, there was a superficial treatment of what happened and then a time skip and/or sex, which left me feeling unsatisfied.
Overall I enjoyed my reading experience! I would recommend to fans of shifter romances and college romance.
