This book got me out of a reading slump so I am grateful to it! It was a super quick and easy read and I was consistently curious about what was going to happen next. The beginning felt a bit like a Nicholas Sparks book - cheesy romance with the woman suffering from amnesia. Classic. But it did get a little darker and more unpredictable toward the end. It was a fun read but I don't think it's one that's going to stick with me. I won this in a Goodreads giveaway!

This book was slow... I took multiple breaks from it. I was excited about the book when I first read the synopsis, but the suspense was pretty weak in my opinion. The only reason I stuck with this book was to see what the "twist" was at the end. It was a decent twist, which is why I gave this book 3 stars instead of 2. I just wish there would have been more suspense from the get go.
Devoured this in 24 hours. Reminded me a lot of See Jane Run by Joy Fielding. The narration is a bit breathy and breathless which was a tiny bit annoying but I definitely could not stop listening.
Quick paced and easy to read.
Spoilers
It was obviously the husband lol or fake husband.
I did wonder why the Nancy and Jake arc was dropped and not really finished. It seemed not all there for me and did she ever go back and tell her dr the ending to her story ?
I guess Jacob really wanted kyra bc she looked like his mom?
Either way I did enjoy it and would read another book by the author

I did like this one a lot! It was an easy and light read. This was a step up from Banner's first novel. I think she really took what worked and what didn't work with The Good Neighbor and added to it.
While the plots were similar in a sense, I was kind of set back with some details that were in the first novel compared to this one. The best friend is gone abroad, the couple is having problems procreating, etc.
The characters were mapped out well. I kept waiting for certain people to have bigger roles later on, but I guess that's the point of having a mystery/thriller with a ton of red herrings. I did enjoy Kyra's character a lot more than Sarah from The Good Neighbor.
What I did enjoy was the story, the premise, and there were a couple of twists I didn't see coming, but I guessed the ending within the first 100 pages. Once that was figured out, I didn't feel as invested in this one as I did with her debut.
I really did enjoy The Twilight Wife. I didn't enjoy it as much as I did The Good Neighbor, but the premise and the well-written characters were what really did it in for me. I would definitely recommend this as a summer/beach/plane read.

This was really a 3.5 for me. I really wanted to know what happened but felt like it took a while to get to even though this isn't a long book.
This book wasn't bad, but it didn't leave me with any wows. The deception was perfect, almost. It's an okay book, but there are better out there!
