I truly enjoy a good book with twists and turns and this one provides that. This is a story of a young woman who survives a diving accident but lost all memories of the last 4 years of her life. As sights and smells start to bring memories back, she learns more and more about her recent past but can’t always match it up to the current life she’s living. Is her mind playing tricks on her or is she being fed lies? Or could it be a little of both?
I've started listening to audiobooks during workouts and just completed The Twilight Wife narrated by Cassandra Campbell. This is my second read by Banner and was looking forward to it, the first of which I read instead of listened to. Campbell's breathy, drawn out narration of the main character, Kyra, could have just about completely ruined the book for me. Her vocal inflections made the main character seem completely whiny, annoying, and helpless. Thankfully the storyline was interesting enough to make me keep listening and I tried to disregard the vocal inflections created by Campbell for a character that I knew was anything but whiny and helpless. I will definitely be READING this book again so that I can better enjoy it!
It was definitely a great page-turner keeping you hooked!
This read like a house afire and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. It has been compared to S J Watson's BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP and the comparison is very apt. This would also be a good read for older teens who want something very compelling yet doesn't take long to read.

I couldn't put this book down. Very fast paced. I liked this book so much more than the author's first book!
I'm torn on how I feel about this book. It was a quick pace, easy to follow along, and get immediately swept up in because you knew from the beginning something was off with Kyra and Jacob. However, I felt like I just kept waiting for the truth to come out, then when it did, it happened so fast and ended. Personally I would have redone the ending and added more, but its not my book. :-) Also, it seemed like this story has been done before, I just can't remember what the book was titled.
The last two paragraphs of the story I enjoyed because it wasn't the same wrap-up so that thrilled me a little.

A fast and enjoyable read. Interesting characters, setting, etc. Quite a mystery until the last quarter of chapters. I won't spoil anything. This book would really translate well to screen! Highly recommended if you need a break from reality.
This book had lots of twists and turns, and it was a very quick read. Hard to put down because I had to know what happened. I kept making guesses as to the final twist, but I wasn't right any time. There were moments the writing felt a little flat, and I feel like the ending was a bit rushed; but all in all this was a very good book.
This was probably the best thriller I've read this year! I raced through this in less than 24hrs! It started just a little bit slow, but the build up was quick and once the twists and turns started coming I was hooked and COULD NOT stop reading. This psychological thriller plays out through the eyes of Kyra, a marine biologist who is suffering from a bizarre memory loss after a diving accident. I really enjoyed this perspective and seeing as her memories came back and the suspence built. This was a great, fast-paced, egde-of-your-seat read!
