I bought this book for a long flight and couldn't put it down. riveting psychological thriller set in the San Juan Islands...one of my favorite locations that became a big part of the plot. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

At the bones of the story, this is a good book: woman has amnesia, husband is trying to help her get it back, but somethings aren't making sense, what is it? I wavered between a 3 and a 4 star rating because I felt like I had to suspend reality a bit too much and the puzzle pieces didn't exactly fit. Why would a woman with amnesia not be under regular doctor's care? Why, if her husband was so loving, would he bring her someplace that she had spent very little time at while she is trying to recover her memory? These questions are answered by the end but that they lingered throughout the book really bothered me. No one seemed to be worried about this! My favorite part of these types of books is the ability to see that they could actually take place. I couldn't with this story. But, if you are better at that than me, I suggest you give this book a try!

A preview copy of this book was provided by NetGalley and Touchstone in exchange for an honest review.

Meh. Main character is kinda dumb. Stupidity is blamed on her head injury. Why not write things down if you can’t remember? Pretty easy to figure out what’s up with the husband early on. Not really a mind blowing read.

It was definitely a great page-turner keeping you hooked!

AJ Banner was able to make me feel a little lost and confused at the beginning, just like Kyra before she was able to unravel the truth.
What a twist! I was surprised.
I’m not giving anything away here by telling you that Jacob was keeping info from Kyra and I thought I knew why at one point but I was wrong.

Fast easy read - good story - good characters - perfect setting

Read this book if you like to be on the edge of your seat!

This is a perfect taut snack of a story. I love thrillers that are carefully teased out chapter by chapter and this one definitely delivered.
While some initial guesses from about halfway through did pan out I underestimated the scope of the story and was thrilled by the denouement.

boring and predictable.

I enjoyed this book. Kyra has an accident that takes away her memory for 4 years. As time goes on she is starting to remember snipets of those 4 years and things aren't the way they should be. Who is she, why is she remembering strange things, and what is right. Not a lot of characters to try to remember so that was a good thing in this book as you keep trying to figure out what is going on. It all comes together at the end.

Received this book from Netgally for my honest review.

This was a very enjoyable mystery. Although a bit predictable, it was a quick read that was entertaining. Kyra is someone who lost her memory in a diving accident. But as bits and pieces of the past come back to her, she realizes that things may not be what they seem.
