Re-read! I’ve forgotten how much pacing the movies get wrong! There is so much character growth and fun things you learn about the world of magic that get lost in the movies. The end zooms by!

Harry Potter and his world never get old. I enjoy them no matter what format they're in.

Was an amazing book. I really enjoyed the differences between the book and the films!
adventurous dark mysterious medium-paced

Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

Let me preface this by stating I was around for the Harry Potter zeitgeist, albeit near the end, so I saw and understand the cultural impact that these books had. I also want to point out that I despise Moldemort (the author in case you can't figure it out), and unlike most people, I actually associate these books with a traumatic period of my childhood. I thought maybe if I read through them then it might help, but honestly now, I can't be asked.

This one was a little better than the first, but it was still quite 'meh'. Maybe because I'm not a child, but I don't get it. I mean, it's not the worst thing I've ever read but if I had read this at the time of publication, I probably wouldn't have even bothered with the rest (and I didn't even now!)

I really like the books because they tell a bigger story than the movies

(Loving my re-reads of these so much!)
