A lovely lighthearted easy read for a sunny day in the garden! I enjoyed Victoria and Oliver’s story. Looking forward to the next book!

I wanted to like this book, but just didn't. Perhaps it has potential as a Hallmark movie - there are some good ideas in there for an easy Christmas rom-com - but as it is, I struggled to get through it.
One sentence summary: Oliver needs a pretend girlfriend to make his parents happy, Victoria has sworn off love, and they pretend to be together while actually falling for each other.
My main problem with this book was the characterization. Oliver and Victoria are too cliche, and they fall in love way too quickly. The whole thing just felt unrealistic, and the prose felt a little over-the-top. I want to emphasize, though, that that could be a me-problem, not a book-problem. The story has potential, but as-is it reads way too much like an unpolished first novel. It kept me from getting engrossed in the story.
Sometimes perfectly good books don't connect with some readers, and for me, this is one of those times. My thanks to NetGalley and the author for an ARC in exchange for an unbiased, honest review.

A beautifully written, romantic feel good read, that I inhaled in one sitting. This is the kind of book that has made me the hopeless romantic that I am! With lovable characters and a warm hearted storyline that flows perfectly, this needs to be under every romance reader’s tree this Christmas, wrapped in a big satin bow.
I am always a little dubious when celebrities publish books, but Georgia Toffolo has created an amazing group of female friends, and now I’ve read Victoria’s story in Meet Me In London, I am well and truly invested in the rest of the group. I am very excited to read the next one, Meet Me in Hawaii, but the standards have been set super high, I hope it doesn’t disappoint!
A must read for any Mills and Boon fan, perfectly capitulating and definitely something to warm your heart over the festive period. Highly recommended.

Meh. It was cute, but really nothing amazing. The writing style was missing something, some parts were waaay too quick, and honestly I finished it just because I have a need for romance, not because it was good.
(Also, for those who came to this book thinking it was about Christmas, turn around and never come back. I think fairy lights are only mentioned twice in the whole thing. They fooled us.)

2.5 stars. Dragged a bit, was a bit repetitive but okay overall. Oliver’, heir to a mega department store empire, wants Victoria to pretend to be his fiancee to keep his parents happy but he falls in love with her and then has to deal with the secret she kept from him. Is she enough??

A fun Christmas romance. I will admit that I becam much more engaged in this story than many of the genre and found myself moved to tears on a few occassions. I may just have to reread this holiday season :)
