I actually listened to the audio version of the book and the narrator was fantastic with her Scottish brogue and all. It really brought the book to life.
This is the first book I’ve read by Heidi Kimball and I was not disappointed.

I loved Katie from page one! My heart broke for her and what she had to go through. I loved her strength, her honesty, and her kindness. Callum is charming, witty, flirtatious, and I was pulling for him the entire time! Even though he made his mistakes, you can’t help but feel for him and root for his redemption.

This book is about forgiveness, redemption, and hope. Katie and Callum kept me glued to the pages! This is a story that I didn’t want to end.

Now I’m off to read a second book of Ms. Kimball’s. If it’s just as good, I might just be binge reading all of hers.

Content: (S) Squeeky clean. Implied intimacy behind closed doors between a married couple. (L) No foul language. (V) No violence.

i adored kate and i admire her so much. but i can't believe the audacity of men sometimes. man decide that he can't take it anymore and just go away bcs daddy issues. okay, thats understandable, but you can't even take care of your new wife? girl have to endure loneliness, birth trauma and take caring of the child for all these years alone and he has even nerve to send her apologizing letters. AND THEN he just come back in their lives like nothing???? nah.

to be fair, i didn't like how all the family forced callum to forgive his dad either. because his dad is old and sick, it doesn't mean that he should've been forgiven.

This book definitely lived up to the hype. It was so good! The heartbreak and romance, learning to forgive and love again. It was just perfect.

Loved this it was soft then angsty and lovely and the prose was fantastic.

Story of a couple who were forced to wed. Didn't communicate and were separated for years. When reunited, they learned communication skills.

I haven't read all of Heidi Kimball's books, but she is quickly becoming a favorite. This book was fantastic. It was wonderful. Full of heart, hope, love. The character growth is outstanding and well-written. The setting was also written to a T. The author is able to capture every aspect of this story so perfectly.
Note to self: read more of Heidi's books.
