This is my first CRH, and it won't be my last. At times you'll want to shake the MC to knock some sense into her. The end definitely took me by surprise.

I went into this one blind, I seen it in my library and decided to give it a go, I was not disappointed!
I found myself wanting more, and even considering what I would have done in the same situation when I wasn’t reading it. The characters were amazing especially the monologues given by the killer throughout. I, like a few others I imagine would have liked a more altogether ending but I suppose that’s the same as life isn’t it, not always a pretty bow tying everything together!
If you are looking for a read that will keep you on your toes then I would definitely recommend giving this one a shot

“I can’t believe that The Trap is the first Catherine Ryan Howard book I have listened to, but I guarantee you it won’t be my last. The cast of characters - missing women, an unreliable police task force, the grief-stricken sister of one of the missing girls, the boyfriend of one of the women, the husband of another, and a civilian in the missing person unit who aspires to become a policewoman help make this a compelling story. But the most compelling character was the kidnapper, himself, who has a creepy monologue dispersed throughout the book explaining how he came to do what he does and what the police have wrong. ”
