I am thinking that Ali Hazelwood may not be the author for me. I really love The Love Hypothesis and thought I’d give this one a try. Looking back on my GoodReads account and how many Ali Hazelwood books that I’ve given 2 stars or less to is telling me that I need to give up on this author.

I feel like you’re just thrown into this story and the book company forgot to print the first fourth of the book. I reread the intro so many times trying to figure out what the heck is going on. It made me really not care about Rue’s patent.

Rue is such an annoying FMC.

I just wish I looked into this book more before reading it. I had no idea it had a high spice level and that’s definitely not for me. I finished the book anyway hoping for a decent ending and learned that Rue is still annoying.

Just disappointed.
