This book was insane. The plot. The characters. The ending?? The numerous open ended questions. Overall insane.

Would read a sequel

Probably one of the worst books I've read this year. I only got about 20% into it before I had to drop it. It's truly awful.

Too many characters to keep track of and most of them sound pretty similar. Also the set up seems to be taking a long time since we have to introduce and get to know like 7 characters. I appreciated the content warning in the beginning.

Repeat After Me by Jessica Warman--This book about a high school field trip gone woefully wrong is very fun. It's a time loop book (as an aside, I feel like time loops are the new quicksand in that they're something we get a lot of cautionary tales about while being somewhat unlikely to encounter them in the world) with fun characters. Some people really do just exist to be caricatures rather than fully fleshed out characters, but tonally, that works with this book. Thumbs up.
