I feel this is going to be a book with very bipolar opinions. Think Ground Hogs Day meets American Pie meets a fever dream.

In this dark upper YA, a high school class goes on a trip to a deserted island. One student, obsessed with losing her virginity, gets trapped in a time loop. This book is chalk full of immature inappropriate jokes (think 🍆 jokes), has half a dozen POVs from not very likeable characters, and an ending that will have you saying WTF did I just read?!

With that being said I couldn't put it down. I read it in two days, which is unheard of for me. If you choose to read this book know it is a satire. You aren't going to get anything ground breaking out of it. I'd say it could be perfect for a palate cleanser, just something to laugh at.

What the fudge did I just read!?

It started semi slow. When it did finally pick up, all that kept running through my mind was, "What am I reading?"

It's definitely super weird, in my opinion, but that could keep your attention. Also, this book is classified as YA, but I'd definitely consider it upper YA.

Thank you, Entangled Publishing, Netgalley, and Jessica Warman for the ARC!!

I enjoyed this strange tale of being stuck in a time loop. None of the characters were all that likeable, however I enjoy stories with unlikeable characters. The book really makes you think about time and how it works. Plus, what would you do if you were stuck in a time loop?

Groundhog Day meets Boy Meets World sprinkled with sci-fi. The idea of this book was really good, who doesn’t love a good time loop story? I loved the cover art and the pages! The execution of the story was what kept me from really liking the story. Maybe it was the teens the story was about and how so much of their part of the story was on their teen drama. I felt like I was missing something not hearing from the scientist and Max. There were some things that didn’t make complete sense too, like how had Max been on the same day for over 15000 days but was the kids’ high school English teacher in a different location, when he woke up in the same place every day? I like the idea, the execution wasn’t my favorite.
