I am very glad I read this book, and I think it’s provides important information that everyone (especially men) could learn from.

The author uses statistics and data from many different areas of life to explain how our world has been shaped for men, that men are the default, and how that harms us all. She talks about gender data gaps in politics, healthcare, unpaid work, finance, public policy, and more. Some sections were more interesting than others and I did feel like it was redundant at times, but overall I enjoyed it.

I will say that because this is full of stats and so much information, if you don’t read nonfiction much you may not find this to be incredibly engaging or a fast read. I took my time with it and i’m glad I did. I enjoyed the personal anecdotes she used from all over the world, they complimented the data really well and made the text more interesting.

Very interesting and accessible; many examples of the gender data gap in action where women's needs are left out of planning/design.  Written in a way that highlights the issue but does not focus on blame.
