All the other Queen Betsy books have been really easy quick reads but I struggled to concentrate on this one. I think I'm a bit bored of Betsy now but I will miss her.
There are a few good points, like when Laura (daughter of Satan) becomes unhinged and tries to do good in a not so helpful way. Part of this book is also written in journal form from Marc's point of view which was a nice change and I preferred these to Betsy's chapters.

Antonia the werewolf was a real sore point for me. I found her introduction to be BS. Garret has only been lucid for two months or something, he's totally agoraphobic but somehow he has a live in girlfriend that he's all ready to suicide over. This book is even more blahblahblah than ever.
these books were ok for when i needed something to do but only had a couple of minutes in between kids grabbing for my attention but ugh uuugh.. suspended belief can only take me so far
when i read the first book i thought it was funny and i appreciated the over the top presentation.. seems that with every book my initial reaction was thwarted and turns out the whole thing is just lazy and boring

Fun and funny as normal, closest thing I can compare it to is if Shopaholic went paranormal :)
But in this one Betsey does have to grow up a bit and face the consequences of Antonia's death to her pack and finding out BabyJon is a bit different.
And her half sister is off the deep end again...and more powerful than we knew!

Not enough action and it went by to fast. Laura is becoming like her Mother and Betsy is still Betsy.
I couldn't put this book down. I started reading it on my lunch break and thought Well, I have to say Betsy sure is a hard character to like at first, and man - reading her thought process is IRRITATING! When I got home from work and got cleaned up and into my jammies I found myself picking the book back up even though I intended on knitting and watching the Olympics. Pretty soon I am sitting in bed and flipping the last few pages of the book. Sometimes books will do that - they will just sneak up and get you!
I love Vampire books - and I think part of what I love about these in particular is that you don't have these dramatic tortured souls running around. They break the mold just a little bit. (I would say the mold was broken by Buffy the Vampire Slayer - but Angel was awfully darn brooding and tortured so... yeah.) So after reading umpteen vampire books where the 500 year old master Vampire is still weeping and afraid to love because someone he loved in the French Revolution died in a really bad way, it's sort of refreshing to read about The Queen of Vampires who loves her footwear and her smoothies.
Not that they don't go through situations here. In this one Sinclair and Betsy head to Cape Cod to return their dead friend Antonia to the Werewolves and face the very real possibility of a Vampire/Werewolf war. While this is happening Betsy's sister (daughter of satan - literally) wigs out and starts killing people. Good Stuff.

OK, I guess, but nowhere near as good as the earlier books. Maybe I'm just losing patience with Betsy's "bubbleheadedness" as Marc would call it. I found her particularly annoying in this book - she has the attention span of a gnat. I'll probably keep reading this series because I'm a sucker, and I find the characters' observations funny. Loved that Betsy couldn't understand Marc's text-speak, but that's probably because it's a pet peeve of my own.
I am a huge fan of this series, but this latest book felt a little disjointed. It felt like it took quite a while to get to the end, only to have a very rushed finish / cliffhanger.
Betsy definitely has her hands full, and it should be interesting to see what happens in the next book.
There were a few laugh out loud parts. Betsy's always good for a few laughs.
