Perhaps this did not resonate as much with me because I am not a sister and I don't have one, but I found the story to be quite disengaging. The story was predictable, and I am not sure there was any compelling theme.
Eh not as good as Smile and Drama, but still pretty funny and the art is as clean as ever.

Easier to get through than Smile was for me. It seems like Amara is on the autism spectrum but for some reason it is never addressed, which I found odd. An interesting vignette in a long road trip and sometimes regretting what you asked for.

Not as special. The illustrations are leagues ahead but the story is nowhere nearly as compelling as Smile. Maybe it stems from the desperation of trying to find something interesting to say about sisterhood that would relate to kids more but feels way less universal in its experiences than it tries to be.

This graphic novel was a nice follow up to the previous one, with relatable content about siblings and family.
was looking for something to read at work since i left my book back at home and found this gem. I love anything about sisterhood so obviously i had to pick it up. I didnt know that this was based of off a real person at first, feeling a little stupid about that because the mc has the same name as the author but it didnt click ig. Topics like this one really makes me think about my relationship with my older sister. we had a rocky relationship just like the sisters in the book but now that were both adults I can say were becoming real friends and that i lover her very much. Im ashamed that it took so long for us to get to this place, but we'll continue to love each other and do better.
