A little slow but sweet. Her ability to capture the telling detail is phenomenal. And quite often hilarious.

Again a main character who can't get out of her own way to find true love. I did enjoy all the characters that Laura added into her life.

I was bored and didn’t care for any of the characters. :(

It just didn’t hit as well as the first couple of books featuring these same characters. The flow was really bad and I honestly just didn’t buy the romance. It just felt like it wasn’t very important to the overall story at all. That said people who are fans of Nina Hill will love a peek at her and Polly. Honestly this should have been Polly’s story which is why I think I didn’t love this.

Full RTC.

I had been really excited to read this book because I really enjoyed the first one about Nina Hill. But I don’t know what happened here because I felt like this book did not have focus. It meandered a lot, nothing really happened, it was just like a slice of life. But it led me to believe that it was going to be solely about Laura, but it wasn’t it was about all of these people living in this house and it was just so random how the author focused on certain characters but not others. I was really looking for more to happen in this book and I started to get really aggravated that nothing was actually happening until the very end and even that fell flat for me. This book really needed editing and focus.

This book didn’t capture my attention- lots of character development but little plot. I finished about two thirds before moving on to a different book.

Rather than this being a cute follow-up, I feel like this was more of an offshoot from the Nina Hills series. It touched on a ton of different characters, and rather than be cohesive to a different chapter within the series it just felt scattered.

That being said, I do love the two MCS, Laura and Bob. I definitely get some major neurodivergent vibes from both of them, even though nothing is directly stated. I wish their characters were explored more so we can see how they grow through their own challenges.
