Faye is a private investigator brought back to her home town on a case to moonlight as a burlesque dancer and Lincoln runs the local famous bourbon distillery with his brothers.  Faye was driven out of town by Lincoln the night his wife died.

This story was a MESS.  It had so much promise, the story line in its basic form was great, but there were so many weird directions it went in.  She went back to her small home town to get info out of a mark who didn’t know who she was.  Obviously it’s going to come up who she is? And when she goes to the big auction and is surprised to see the foxx brothers there, obviously they would be there, they are the biggest business owners in the area?  And the writing style felt so stilted again.  I don’t think I’ll be reading the third book in this series.

looooving this series!!! the foxx men, honestly!!

still found that i was so much more invested in the suspense than the romance & the drama at the end was just so good!! and i also loved lily and lark! they were so cute.

i did think there were a few things from the first book that felt a little bit repetitive in this one. like certain aspects of their relationship that were almost identical - like the nature of the nicknames… idk

but i am so so excited for the third book!!! i think hadley & ace might be my favs.

Lee Samuels and Megan Wicks do an amazing job at bringing the world of Fiasco to life. While  Lee Samuels is  not who I pictured for Linc he does a fantastic job. While Megan Wicks  absolutely kills it is as Faye. I loved getting to dive back into Fiasco and reliving this story. The wild adventure and mystery of Faye and Lincs love story is *swoon*. 10/10 recommend if you're looking!
