I read this little short book as an ebook after looking for books in Spanish. I decided to just save it to my wishlist on overdrive in case it was in Spanish which it wasn't but when I saw it was a children's classics I knew I had to give it a read. After all, I hadn't read a children book with illustrations in it for a while. I put on a 'cute instrumentals' playlist I found on Spotify and began reading. The illustrations and the story in this book went so well together and that is why I give it 5 stars. For everything. Will read again when I need a spark in my life.

Whimsical with a sweet message. Writing is a little clunky, but the illustrations are perfect.

I love and hate this book at the same time. Very poor example as far as environmental responsibility/conservation goes, but lots of other important and beautiful points. So I read it and discuss the good and the bad.
