not me getting emotionally attached to frat bros???? this was fun to read and at the end of the day isn't that was reading is all about? i loved chad and bailey, they're actually perfect for each other <3
Chad is such a dude bro and his soft heart makes him so endearing. Bailey is such an uptight grump and I love that he melts for Chad and his mom. Seeing them have so much trust in each other through the whole rivalry was such a great testament to the authenticity of their relationship and I love when there is no 3rd act break up, just workin through their shit. I also love how they actually addressed the financial inequality between them. Chad and Bailey agree being rivals to lovers is frat as fuck.
I can't believe I've enjoyed a book in which one of the MCs is literally named Chad, and yet.
To be honest I didn't expect to be so entertained, but there are a lot of fun moments and shenanigans in this book - I especially loved the King of Thieves challenge. While I don't understand frat mentality, I didn't have any problems with it given that Saxon James took toxic masculinity and burned it with a passion.
As for the romance, I liked it a lot. Bailey and Chad work really well together and they're sweet as hell; to be fair all of the relationships here (Bailey and his family, Chad and his brothers) are the cutest. The somewhat presence of a plot didn't hurt either and it helped give depth to the overall situation.
Saxon James' writing is straightforward and engrossing, it was so easy to get caught up in the narrative. Kudos!

C'mon frat boys with hearts of gold, I need a Chad in my life!
I was in a fraternity when I was an undergrad & have lowkey been giving the side eye to these frat boy romances, but Saxon James, you've totally changed my tune - this was so much fun, truthfully some of the most fun I've ever had reading a romance. Bailey & Chad had amazing chemistry & their banter was hilarious - the snark was on point here, they had me laughing out loud numerous times (especially Chad, what a gem). The King of Thieves game was really fun to follow & a great way to carry the romance along throughout. This was a super low-angst, pure entertainment & shenanigans kind of book, there wasn't really too big of a conflict & there didn't need to be. It was just really adorable, super steamy (the ♋️ was just
