I'm so impressed with the creativity and care taken in this retelling. It was a lovely story in every sense of the word, dripping with true fairytale vibes.
I was in love and heartbroken at times throughout this book, but it lacks the angst and emotional tension that propels me, as a reader, through the story.

Dnf I stoped reading at 81% after they left the jungle I was no longer interested and I didn’t like them changing him. I also felt like the main character didn’t actually like him she just thought he was hot.
I wish that the timeline was longer for the relationship to develop. It seemed a little insta lovey. Otherwise, I enjoyed the story. I just wanted more depth to the relationship.

I did enjoy this book, but I feel like I am also slightly biased because I have always loved Tarzan. Both the original story and the Disney version. I liked reading the book and found myself looking forward to pick it up and sneak in some reading here and there. However, the story was super fast paced and I missed depth in the characters, they fell quite short on that aspect. The plot wrapped up very quickly at the end and there were a lot of conveniences, that felt rushed. The romance went from 0 to 100 real quick and I would have liked to see a little slow burn, keep in mind that this is mostly romance preference! Overall, I really enjoyed myself reading this book and getting swept up into the legend of Tarzan once more. ✨
