I feel as if rating this book 3 stars is unfair. I enjoyed this book! I really did. It’s a retelling of one of my favourite stories (ok animated films

A bit cringy but still enjoyable

A quick, fun read as long as you don't mind the insta-love/soul mates trope. It was a little over-the-top for me at times, but not enough to stop me from enjoying the story a lot. There are definitely some heavy and tragic moments in this story, though, so don't go into this one expecting a fluffy, happy read for the most part.

2.5 stars

I really really liked this one. More than anything I loved the way Emma managed to breathe life into her descriptions about the jungle. I've always loved nature and animals, but I definitely want to go to Africa now and experience this first hand (and maybe find a wild man as a bonus).

*3.5

I think I would of loved this a little bit more if they would have stayed in the jungle a bit longer rather than quickly going back to civilization, and if Thorn knew a little less (realistically) than he did.

But this was such a fun read and Thorn is literally the softest hero ever!

3.5!

Not really what I was expecting necessarily, but definitely something I enjoyed. The author painted an absolutely beautiful picture of the locations & it felt as if I was there.

Thorne & Eden were darling & I loved loved loved their Tarzan(ish) vibe!

This was certainly a quick read, but I have mixed feelings about it. Clearly, a Tarzan story requires you to suspend belief. This one goes the extra mile, though, and gets into mysticism/spiritualism. It also had insta-love, which makes sense for Thorne, but I always struggle with that a bit. The character development wasn’t strong, and a lot of things were glossed over. The more I considered it after I read it, the less I enjoyed it.
