First ever Tarzan Retelling I've read. Can't complain about a single thing. Loved it. Very well thought out, managed to tug at my heartstrings and I was very attached to every single character of this book— Not the bad guys tho, we don't like them.

This book was so sweet. Thorne has such a pure heart and I loved how connected he was to the jungle and what it taught him about life. I loved the comparisons to Tarzan and Jane.
I liked that it was sent in current times, although I was a bit confused on the outset as to when it was set.
I liked the primal-ness of Throne, but also appreciated how he asks for consent right from the beginning. I am a basic girl, and hearing all of the "mate" talk makes me so happy. It was a thrill to watch. The book managed to be very sexy without being overly so. It was a fast moving relationship, but I can see how it would be overwhelming to have him so devoted to her right from the first moment.
I just loved this book so much and I need to own my own Copy. I actually wish it had been longer or that there was a sequel, because Thorne just won me over completely.

This book was a bit too weird for me. The dialogue was also very cheesy and the characters were so bland and boring. I did not like this one at all.
I was expecting something better, so maybe its my fault for expecting something that this couldn't be. The instalove really did bother me here, and it didn't use to. But, I have been reading a whole lot of hate-to-love/enemies-to-lovers/slow-burn romance books in the last couple of months and maybe thats why this was so jarring. The added fantastical elements did help provide a fairytale-vibe to the story that made that easier to take. And Eden is from Arkansas! The first time a character has been from the same state as me! And I am going to change my rating from a 1 to a 3 star, because it really is more my fault I didn't enjoy this book. I knew going into it there would likely be instalove and it is under 300 pages, so I should have known going in that this wouldn't be the story for me right now

More violence than I expected, but a beautiful book and romance that made me cry
