chicas q emotiva la historia con la madre gorila la amo

I picked up a copy at Flirty in KC earlier this month and had to read it immediately! First off look at that cover!! This book is gorgeous and the story backs it up. I don’t know if a book has ever wrecked me emotionally by 10% in before, but I was sobbing then and multiple times throughout the story. The story beats you expect from Tarzan are there, a young boy and his family end up in the jungle trying to survive, the parents die, and the boy is taken in and raised by gorillas. The emotion and backstory Emma Castle has written leaves you reeling and heartbroken from the beginning and rooting for Thorne and Eden throughout the story. I loved the way this was told through different POVs and flashbacks. The romance was beautiful and the end had me on the edge of my seat.  Every page was perfect, I couldn’t put it down. Seriously READ THIS BOOK!

A romantic retailing of Tarzan. Our hero Thorne grew up in the jungle in Africa, raised by a gorilla along side her son because his parents found a tragic end deep in the jungle and only Thorne wad left alive. Eden was sent to photograph the wildlife, especially the gorilla's but her and the people she worked with was brutally attacked and only Eden was left alive, just when things get very dangerous for her, she is saved by a strange man, Thorne. They get to know each other and a romance is evolving between them. I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did. I had big hopes for it as I had just read a short novella by Emma Castle that I really enjoyed and I was intruiged when I saw this was a Tarzan retailing. It's suspenseful and romantic but light on the steam, hardly anything there but it was very sensual. Very eager to read more by this author.

—— A CLICHE RETELLING WITH BLAND CHARACTERS

SUMMARY :

Something happened which forced Thorne to grow up amongst the gorillas in the jungle. One day he ends up saving Eden from a group of terrorists and from there begins their adventure in the wild where he shows her his adoptive family and the beauty of the jungle.

CHARACTERS :

Um idk the characters were pretty bland. Eden is the girl who makes it her mission to introduce him back to the civilisation and discovering what happened to him and who he is blah blah.

Whereas Thorne he was literally like I have to save the jungle, jungle this jungle that I can’t leave, I want you to stay again very boring.

ROMANCE :

Where was the romance?? That fast paced ooh a hot jungle guy- wait what am I thinking- huh whatever let’s fuck. Thats NOT romance period!
