Yes! Oh my gosh yes! I am so glad this book lived up to my expectations. Because after about 283840 people (ok ok, maybe a bit less) telling me this book is SO GOOD, I started to believe it. To all those people telling me how good this book is: you're right. The perfect YA Fantasy - it has great characters (and multiple POVs), a complex but still understandable world and a damn good story. I cannot wait to dive into book two, The Exiled Queen.

So to everyone who hasn't told me this book is amazing yet: I recommend you read it and experience it for yourself.

I can't make myself care because of what happened in Flamecaster. I will try to read that book again in the future instead. But I can't make myself care for these characters. I feel like the first chapter in Flamecaster is a big slap in the face to fans of The Demon King.

I cannot wait to continue reading this series! This book took me a while to get through but nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cinda Chima writes such strong male and female characters that I cannot wait to see the leads paths cross more as I am sure they will!

This book makes me want to be a wizard. It seems cool, lol. I really liked the book and I just love Han and Amon! I really hate the Bayars I hope they die in the end of the series. I don't trust them at all. Omg! geez
