Important Q's raised :

1. How old was the cat ?
2. When will I visit NYC again ?

Not exactly a new concept here, looking at the "what if" moments of life, but nonetheless this is a well written tale with decent characters. The father/daughter relationship was meaningful, and even more so now, knowing the author has since lost her own author father. The friendship of teens, progressing alongside the challenges of adulthood, is very well captured and all too familiar. I enjoyed the lack of emphasis on any romantic subplots (though the hints leaning toward good hair guy are just that little bit too contrived for me).

All in all, you can't beat a good time travel tale. This was nostalgic, entertaining, and an easy library read for the month.

wasn't into it at first - but picks up a lot once the time traveling starts. and such beautiful messages about treasuring time with children.

I often wonder how great life would be if my dad is still alive today? And what can I possibly have done to avoid his tragic death? This book, answered my long list of ‘what if’ scenarios. I was in the library when I saw this book, and for some reason it called me. I put down my current read and decided to read this instead. I think god is looking up for me. He knows, I need these answers, and he decided to show me it. Show me that whatever I do, even if I can travel back in time, death is inevitable.

3.5 stars. The love between the father and daughter was incredibly rich touching. Some parts of the plot (e.g. Alice and Tommy) didn’t quite land. Overall enjoyed, but wasn’t outstanding.
